With 2011 marking a new decade everything that has come out in 2011 has been about bringing back the past. There is of course the underlying modern look to the hairstyles. When getting your haircut they are reworking some of the older hairstyles that will work well with the clothing trends of 2011.

Long hairstyles:

When it comes to long hair the trendy thing out right now is for your hair took no time to do. There are quite a few hairstyles that work well with the seasons clothing line and are easily done.

This is a teased version of a braided top knot. It’s already hit the red carpet and is considered messy but yet elegant. This look is extremely easy to do with a little work you can achieve this look in your own hair. The next up do is the double hair knot which is another style that is made to seem effortless. This style is like knotting your hair and braiding the hair at the same time. This is a much simpler hairstyle than those of last year and it’s made to look messy and elegant at the same time. The braided top knot is a little more refined then the other two styles. To do this hairstyle you need to have lots of volume to your hair. French braid your hair, start and the nape of your neck and braid your hair to the front when you have your braid done grab the extra hair and put it up in a messy bun this gives you a more elegant and subdued hairstyle than that of the bird’s nest bun. Longer hairstyles are making a comeback in 2011.

Short hairstyles:

The bob is back it has an added fringe and the hottest way to style the bob is for a wavy look to achieve this look you can take a hair straightener and added some random waves to your hair or take a curling iron and make big curls in your hair and lightly brush out most of the curl.

Haircuts for 2011:

When choosing the right haircut for this year you need to keep in mind that everything is coming back in the 60’s and 70’s is the biggest thing in fashion right now. Fringe bangs, medium length bobs with bangs or fringes. Hair trends come and go rather quickly but this year there are a few thing that are going to stick around and they are bangs. Bangs are the biggest thing right now. This trend was made to be worn with almost any look that is for this year. The bob hairstyle is back but with it there are few additions one the bob is longer in length and it has fringes and bangs. This retro style has been made out of two eras, one is the 60’s combed back style and the other is the 70’s soft look that is rounded to the face to give off a look of softness and femininity.
